The Next Steps booklet is aimed at young people in years 10 and 11, including information if you need extra support with learning. The aim of the booklet is to help you understand your education and employment options post 16. All young people in year 11 with an EHCP should be offered a Next Steps interview.
This document is an anonymised copy of an EHCP a parent had written privately. The young person involved is severely learning disabled – see the overview – but it might be helpful to see the language used, how the young person’s needs are described, the detail of the outcomes and how the provision is written regardless of your young person’s needs.
