Why might it be of interest?
You might wonder why we need a guide for a final annual review as this is the time when a young person is leaving education – what is there to discuss! So, this review is not so much about going through the EHCP but about celebrating where the young person is at, what they have achieved, etc and taking the opportunity to look ahead and consider their hopes and aspirations.
There are questions under the 4 main headings of employment, independent living, community inclusion and good health that can help you think about and plan for your young person’s life after college.
The CDC has a lot of documents around EHCPs, education, preparing for adulthood which you might find helpful so do take the time to have a look around the website.
