SEND Half Term Activities

Our Befriending Service for young people with SEND is running a range of accessible activities this October half-term, helping your young person try something new and have fun whilst doing it!

A Whole New World of Creativity: Movie and Craft for ages 10-12

FriendBee and BuddyUp are holding an Aladdin themed arts, crafts and movie session this October. Come and enjoy getting creative with Aladdin art and craft activities, whilst we also enjoy watching the animated version of the Aladdin movie and a snack.

Parents/carers are welcome to stay or if your young person is comfortable, you are welcome to go and have a break, but we ask that you stay local in case we need you. We are unable to offer 1-1 support to young people during this group, but there will be 3 members of staff available to support everyone to have fun!

Date: Monday 26th October

Time: 2-4pm

Location: Disability Action and Advice Centre, 4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington TW11 8HT

Ages: 10-20

Cooking Up – ages 10-15

This session is chance to practice cooking skills in a safe, accessible environment. The session costs £15 and all ingredients are provided (they can cater for dietary requirements too). Each young person will be allocated a volunteer however; a carer must also be present for the session. Please be aware that there will be equipment including sharp knives and hot plates at the session. The session is wheelchair accessible, however the tables are not adjustable. If you have any questions, please let me know. Please complete whole form and include which session you are signing up for.

Date: Wednesday 28th October

Time: 11:45 am – 1:15pm

Location: Greenwood Community Centre in Hampton Hill

Ages: 10-15 – a carer must be present for this activity

Cooking Up – ages 16+

Board Game Meet Up

FriendBee and BuddyUp are holding a Board Game at Drinks and Dice in Teddington. A fun way to get social whilst playing some classic and maybe even new board games.

We are asking for a £2.50 contribution to the cost of the booking. Upon booking you will be sent the payment link a week before. Your young person will need to bring extra money if they would like to purchase any food or drink during the session.

We are unable to offer 1-1 support to young people during this group, but there will be 2/3 members of staff available to support everyone to have fun!
