Who by? Ruils

Ruils was delighted to attend the Richmond Community Heroes Awards on 29th April with some of our amazing volunteers, who were shortlisted for the Outstanding Volunteer award.

Volunteer Mike Stone was shortlisted for his “unwavering commitment and compassionate support for clients with physical and mental health challenges, providing both emotional and practical assistance” through his work with our clients.

Volunteer Christina von Cramm was shortlisted for her “empathetic and supportive efforts in befriending, motivating others and creating a positive environment through her volunteer work”.

We are so proud of all of our volunteers, and are particularly chuffed that Mike and Christina’s work has been recognised. Well done!

In addition to the volunteer nominations, the Ruils Creative Writing Group was also shortlisted for Community Project of The Year. The group is made up of a diverse mix of people who share a love of a story, whether through the art form of a novel, or a play monologue or poetry. They work collaboratively in a safe and inclusive space that fosters talent and creativity.

Just to get shortlisted is an incredible recognition of the much needed and valued community services that we deliver. It was inspiring to share last night not just with our volunteers, but all the amazing people highlighted in the room. Congratulations to the winners and all those shortlisted.
