Make a lasting difference to local lives by leaving a gift in your will
Could you leave a gift in your will which will improve the lives of local disabled people for years to come? Gifts enable us to support disabled people to live independently and be part of their community, providing life changing support from advocacy and counselling to befriending and accessible activities.
You may wish to make a gift as a dedication to someone you know who has been supported by Ruils. Or you may wish to pledge your support to disabled children and adults in the future.
One of our supporters, said;
“The work Ruils does every day to remove the barriers faced by local disabled people is incredibly important to me. I’ve remembered Ruils in my will as I want to play a part in helping them to continue that work for future generations of disabled people.”
How to make or update your will
It’s really important to have an up-to-date will so that your final wishes are recorded and your loved ones are well looked after. You can do this by getting in touch with your own solicitor, or instructing a new solicitor, to update your will or create a new one.
If you are looking for a solicitor, Will Power has been supporting people to write their wills for 30 years and is a member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers. They can draw up a simple will for £150+VAT and simple mirror wills for £180+VAT. They are happy to quote people for more complex wills such as those involving trusts or power of attorney.
Will Power is offering a discount of 10% to anyone who pledges a gift in their will to Ruils. To learn more, speak to their expert on 0208 568 9602 or email enquiries@willpowergroup.com where you can set up a no-obligation consultation.
If you would like to update your will via your own Solicitor, you will need to give them instructions and share our name, address and charity number. This is:
Ruils Independent Living
4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington, TW11 8HT
Charity number 1127896
What difference could your gift make?
£20 will buy seeds, plants and tools for our accessible allotment, which Disabled clients, and clients with mental health conditions, can plant as part of a weekly community group session.
£257 will pay for a series of 12 Counselling sessions for a Disabled Person, or a carer of a Disabled Person, giving them a safe space to be heard and find ways to cope.
£6,000 would pay for our Minecraft Activity Group for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to run for a year, bringing young people together to have fun, build friendships and develop their social skills.
