Volunteer Driver
Time Commitment: Ad hoc
Location: In person (Richmond Borough)
About this role
We support many clients who are lonely and isolated and some potentially house-bound due to age, disability, mobility issues and/or mental health challenges. Our team of Volunteer Drivers take clients to and from crucial health appointments and wellbeing services in the community.
What we are looking for
- Licensed driver with Business Class 1 Insurance
- Access to your own vehicle
- Someone who is friendly, approachable and flexible
What will I be doing?
As a Volunteer Driver, you will take one of our clients from their home to somewhere in the community, collect them when they are finished and take them home. In this role you might:
- Drive someone to a hospital or GP appointment
- Take someone shopping
- Drive someone to community events or activities
How will Ruils support you?
We will provide you with onboarding training, safeguarding training and ongoing support throughout your time volunteering with us. This includes regular check ins over the phone and in person support sessions and trainings open to all volunteers.

- Training sessions
