Who by? Ruils
Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July to recognize and celebrate the achievements, identities, and culture of Disabled People. We come together with allies, to celebrate each other’s uniqueness, contributions and take pride in who we are! Every Disabled person deserves to feel pride in themselves, especially in a world that isn’t always accepting and inclusive.
This month is particularly important to us as a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation. Our mission is to break down the barriers that disable and limit us. The diagonal straight band of stripes on the Disability Pride Flag, created by Ann Magill, represents cutting across barriers that Disabled people face. This Disability Pride and every day we are committed to breaking down these barriers & cutting through the darkness.
We’ve got two events happening this month that are open to all Disabled people and allies. Come celebrate with us!
