Could you leave a gift in your will?
Updated: 31/10/25
Could you leave a gift in your will which will improve the lives of local Disabled people for years to come?
Gifts enable us to support people to live independently and be part of their community, providing life changing support from advocacy and counselling to befriending and accessible activities. This year, ror the first time, Ruils is asking our supporters to consider leaving a gift to Ruils in their will.
It’s important to have an up-to-date will so that your final wishes are recorded and your loved ones are well looked after. You can do this by getting in touch with your own solicitor, or instructing a new solicitor, to update your will or create a new one. If you would like to, you can choose to make a gift to Ruils once you have laid out the rest of your wishes.
One of our supporters said;
“The work Ruils does every day to remove the barriers faced by local Disabled people is incredibly important to me. I’ve remembered Ruils in my will as I want to play a part in helping them to continue that work for future generations of Disabled people.”
How do I make or update my will?
- Get in touch with your solicitor and share our charity number, 1127896
- Instruct a new solicitor. Ruils has partnered with experienced will writers Will Power, who can draw up a simple will for £150+VAT and simple mirror wills for £180+VAT. They are happy to quote people for more complex wills such as those involving trusts. Will Power is offering a discount of 10% to anyone who pledges a gift in their will to Ruils.
If you’d like to find out more about how to do this, there is more information here or or you can contact Carolyn Jones at fundraising@ruils.co.uk or on 07944 965321.
