We're partnering with First Bus London to run a 'Year of Accessibility' Campaign

This year, First Bus London is running an internal campaign aimed at educating drivers and staff on access barriers their passengers may face and how they can help them have better, safer journeys. Each month a different topic will be featured on their internal social media for drivers alongside print materials in the garages. They are also holding in person focus groups with drivers to talk about their experiences and learn from their peers.

We are working with First Bus to develop the content and resources for the campaign, embedding the social model of Disability and key learnings into all the materials. See an example below about the Hidden Disabilities sunflower lanyard.

       

We are also partnering with First Bus to hold the 2nd annual Access Day in May 2025 at Fulwell Garage, giving local Disabled people the opportunity to speak directly with drivers, First Bus staff and reps from other agencies, including the council and TfL.
