Why might it be of interest?

These are a few of examples of how a more formal mental capacity assessment might be recorded – but a quick google will bring up many examples.  You might also find it helpful to use this method – if only in your mind – when you are working out whether your young person could make a particular decision.  It can be helpful to approach the process in a more structured way, especially if you might need to explain your decision to another person.
