Why might it be of interest?

Although this is a few years old the information doesn’t appear to have changed – ie there’s not been any change in the law that would affect the validity of this information.  This site offers free information around benefits of all types and also has a paid for service – and it’s possible that this document is now only available through the paid for service on the website.

If you want to understand more about exempt accommodation, landlords, care provision, etc around supported living this briefing does give you a lot of information.  It references various acts pertaining to all of the above and includes some case studies to demonstrate when a landlord and provision are the right ‘type’ and when they are not.

There’s no need for you to understand the detail of all this for your young person to successfully access and live in supported living but if you do want to know more about the background this document gives you that.

As I can’t find a link on the current website this is a document you will need to ask me for and I can email you a copy.
