We are going to transform an unused piece of a land in to a community garden for disabled children, adults and people with long term health and mental health issues to work together to grow flowers, fruit & vegetables. We are creating a new access point, a wheelchair friendly path and raised beds for easy access for wheelchair users. The fruit & vegetables grown will be shared by the volunteers and clients who work on the garden and any surplus will be made available to the local community. This space is currently overgrown and has been laid to waste.
To achieve this, we need your help.
- Do you have an hour or two to spare? Enjoy getting your hands dirty? Then come along and join us. There is a lot of digging to do to prepare the garden for Spring.
Complete this form and send it in to us.
- Have you downsized? and have no need for your trowels, spades and forks? We will be happy to take them off your hands - please bring them in to the DAAC, 4 Waldegrave Road Teddington TW11 8HT
- Support us by making a donation towards the costs of building the raised beds and laying wheelchair friendly matting.
Thank you for your support with this project.
