About Me

I oversee the services and projects that Ruils run and make sure that we are delivering the services that our clients want and need. I have been with Ruils for just over 10 years now and have been working with a great team of trustees, staff and volunteers to develop services that support individuals to live the life of their choice. My background is in Health Psychology and I have worked in the private medical health sector as well as being a recruitment consultant. I have two very active boys and spend a lot of time ferrying them around or standing on the side of football, rugby and cricket pitches. I love reading and walking and travelling to new places.

Independent Living Advisor     paulabuckton@ruils.co.uk     020 8831 6088

About Me

I joined the Ruils team 5 years ago as a Support Planner and Broker for Self Directed Support in Richmond. At the same time I worked as a supervisor for Bluebird Care, a home care agency, setting up new care packages and supervising carers. I joined Ruils in a full time role at the beginning of 2013 working on two main projects; Pooling Budgets where I have developed a website and guide which offer a safe and effective model for individuals to pool resources. I also manage Advice for Independent Living service which is aimed at those who fund their own care, assisting them to look at support options available and help them set up the right support . In conjunction with this I also manage the find-a-pa website and have recently taken on a lead role working with the Direct Payments support team in Wandsworth. I have lived in Twickenham for more than 25 years but originally I am from Leeds, and like most northerners, I call a spade a spade. To keep fit I row and cycle and my trusty bike is my main way of getting around both Richmond and Wandsworth.

Sitting & Befriending Service Coordinator     suerobson@ruils.co.uk     020 8831 6413

About Me

I joined Ruils in July 2014 to continue co-ordinating the Sitting and Befriending Service when the Three Wings Trust sadly closed and this part of the operation was transferred to Ruils. I had been running the service for 9 years in which time it has grown from supporting just a small number of families with a handful of sitters/befrienders to now supporting over 80 families with more than 40 sitters/befrienders. I am delighted that Ruils embraced the service - personally, to be part of a dynamic and supportive team - and that families with children and young people with disabilities in the Borough will continue to benefit from the service. I am married with 3 children and my youngest, Sophie (now 16) is disabled. It was having Sophie that inspired me to pursue this career after an earlier career in computer technical support. Outside of work I love yoga and go dancing once a week which is based on Strickly ! At home, I enjoy reading and have discovered Kindle. I also love watching all the junk TV that my husband hates.

Since 2006, I have been the full time carer for my son, Alfie. I am a born again fitness fanatic, occasional skydiver and Shakespeare obsessive.

Family Support Worker     lindacampbellarthur@ruils.co.uk     07903 633 326

About Me

I am a clinical psychologist, and had a private practice in South Africa for twelve years before relocating with my family to the UK in 2014. In my work I have enjoyed supporting people through both the usual stresses and strains of life, and longer-term mental illnesses. I focus on helping people to build their self-esteem and positive relationships. My son has autistic spectrum disorder and learning difficulties, so I have spent a lot of time finding the appropriate education and care for him, and speaking with other parents in similar positions. I am delighted to be part of the team at Ruils, working with families who need support.
